Heute nähern wir uns dem Zentrum des fränkischen Weinlandes. Zahlreiche Weinberge an Steilhängen sind ständiger Wegbegleiter. Heute führt unser Weg zum kleinen und geschichtsträchtigen Örtchen Wipfeld, dass vor allem durch seine Weinlage „Zentgraf“ über die Grenzen von Franken hinaus berühmt ist. Rund um den Marktplatz finden wir historische Fachwerkhäuser, das alte Rathaus und das ehemalige Würzburger Amtshaus.

Wir radeln weiter nach Fahr am Main, auch die Perle an der Mainschleife genannt. In dem alten Fischer- und Winzerdorf gibt es viele romantische Gassen und Winzerhäuser aus dem vergangenen Jahrhunderten zu sehen.

Volkach liegt direkt an der Mainschleife. Auf der Höhe des Mains wurde durch den Bau eines 6 km langen Kanals, die so genannte Weininsel geschaffen, auf der sich die Orte Sommerach und Northeim befinden. Volkach wurde außerdem durch seine großartigen Weine berühmt. Jedes Jahr im August findet seit mehr als 60 Jahren regelmäßig das bekannte Volkacher Weinfest statt.
